RECENT ACTIVITIES

New Member Ski Day – During the New Member Ski Day on March 8th, part of the race course was flagged, and they even found time to get in a ski lesson.

E2K Race – With good weather and a good turnout, the 2003 Echo to Kirkwood Race was a success. Thanks to all the EDNSP members and other volunteers who helped pull off this successful event!

Race Critiques – Please fill out and send in the enclosed race critique form. This information helps us find out what went well and what can be improved. The address is at the bottom of the critique form.

T-Shirts – There are long-sleeved and short-sleeved t-shirts left over from the race. They can be purchased from Daniel Hansler for $8.00.

UPCOMING EVENTS

End of the Season Party – The last general meeting and end of the season party will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at 5:00 pm at the El Dorado Search and Rescue Council Lodge (ESARC Lodge) in Cedar Grove [map]. EDNSP provides the entrée, but please bring your favorite side dish or dessert.

Elections of Officers and Board Members – The elections will be held as part of the last general meeting/end of the season party. The following nominations have been received:

If you are interested in running for an officer or Board member position (or have decided not to run and would like to be removed from the ballot), please contact Jennifer Ebert-Marsolais at 530-647-9024. You may also mail in your nomination to Jennifer as well. Please contact Jennifer or mail in the nomination by April 10th.

If you are unable to make it to the end of the season party on May 3rd and would like to vote, please mail your ballot to Jennifer Ebert-Marsolais by May 1st. The address is: 4978 Loch Leven Drive, Pollock Pines, CA 95726. Vote for one person for each of the Officer positions (i.e., President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer), and four individuals for the Board member positions.

Directions to the ESARC Lodge – [map] From Highway 50, take the Cedar Grove off-ramp and turn left and pass under the freeway. Turn right on Pony Express Trail, left onto Mace Road, right on Cedar Drive. Stay on Cedar Drive as it jogs right, then turn left onto Larkspur Lane. Go 200 yards and look for the lodge on your right. The address is 2911 Larkspur Lane.
