The class will be taught by Bobbi Foster of Foster Calm (fostercalm.com). Classes are designed to be fun with lots of hands-on exercises. The emphasis is on making good decisions by staying safe and calm, completing a thorough patient assessment, and having good communication and leadership. The course covers patient assessment, shock and bleeding, head and spinal injuries, wounds, musculoskeletal injuries, heat and cold illness, and more. Includes a half-day outdoor scenario practice.
Due to the limited space, priority will be given to Ski Patrol Patrollers, followed by Ski Patrol candidates, followed by the public. If you have questions about the class, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, please note that we will require everyone in the class to sign the standard EDNSP liability release. The document can be found at: Individual Liability Release.
The class will be held at the El Dorado Forest Supervisor's office. The mailing address is 100 Forni Road, but the building is actually on Briw Road.
